Integration Specialist

Skills and experience

• Strong skills related to analysis, research, investigation, and evaluation, with a structured approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, appropriately scaled for a technical or business audience.
• Customer-facing skills, including high-level communication and organisation skills, and the ability to directly deliver training (formal or ad hoc) and consultancy to client IT teams and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player.
• Understanding of Azure DevOps tools such as Kanban boards, Pipelines and Wiki.
• Able to work and effectively prioritise in a highly dynamic work environment that has a global focus.
• Able to work effectively by themselves and with remote teams.
• 2+ years of experience working in a cloud-based environment.

Mandatory technical skills

• Expert in programming using Java. The expectation is that the individual will demonstrate this level of capability by solving programming challenges in the evaluation process.
• Expert in integration design using microservices.
• Expertise in working with event-driven and domain-driven design patterns.
• Expertise in Kubernetes container configuration, build and deployments.
• Solutions using integration frameworks, for example Camel or Spring.
• Prior experience of using at least one service from the Azure or AWS cloud platforms.

Nice to have

• Expertise in the design and build of Knative integration solutions.
• Experience with messaging brokers such as Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, SQS or Kinesis.
• Experience in observability solutions to track and trace, debug, and set up metrics and alerts.
• ITIL qualification at the Intermediate level.
• Programming language certification (Java).
